Suffering does not get eliminated by distancing from our thoughts or trying to mask problems or imperfections. On the contrary, when we bring curiosity and acceptance to the different parts that comprise all of who we are, healing happens. Becoming aware of the ways we get stuck in our patterns can activate sorrow, yet this sadness can be purifying when we recognize our longing to be more fully alive and turn towards wholeness.
